1. General Terms
Festivalito Turco 2025 and TangoToCUP Canada Competition (“the Event”) are organized by Burak Ozkosem under Tango Renaissance. By registering, purchasing tickets, or participating in any activity related to the Event, attendees and competitors (“Participants”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. The Organizer reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
2. Eligibility and Registration
- Participation is open to dancers of all levels.
- Competitors in the TangoToCUP Canada Competition must register in advance and comply with all competition rules.
- All registrations and payments are final; no refunds will be issued except under exceptional circumstances at the Organizer’s discretion.
- The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry to any participant at any time.
3. Code of Conduct
- Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards other attendees, judges, instructors, and staff.
- Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the Event without a refund.
- Participants must follow all event guidelines, including schedules, competition rules, and venue policies.
4. Ticket Sales, Refunds & Cancellations
- All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless the Event is canceled by the Organizer.
- 100% refund within 14 days from date of purchase minus transaction fees
- 50% refund until May 1st, 2025. No exceptions
- In the event of cancellation, Participants will receive a full credit for 2026.
- Name transfers may be allowed upon request, subject to Organizer approval.
- The Organizer is not responsible for any costs incurred due to event cancellation, including travel or accommodation expenses.
- The organizer reserves the right to substitute maestros and any acts due to any unforeseen circumstances.
5. Liability Waiver
- Participants acknowledge that Argentine Tango and related activities involve physical movement and assume all risks associated with participation.
- The Organizer, staff, and venue owners are not liable for any injuries, lost belongings, or other damages incurred during the Event.
- Participants waive any claims against the Organizer in connection with personal injury, theft, or property damage.
6. Photography & Media
- By attending the Event, Participants consent to being photographed and recorded for promotional purposes.
- The Organizer reserves the right to use any photos, videos, or other media captured during the Event for marketing, social media, and future promotional materials without compensation.
- If a Participant does not wish to appear in media coverage, they must notify the Organizer in writing before the Event.
7. Competition Rules (For TangoToCUP Canada Competitors)
- All competitors must adhere to the official competition rules, which will be published separately.
- Judges’ decisions are final and cannot be contested.
- Any attempt to influence judges or disrupt the competition may result in disqualification.
- Competitors are responsible for their own costumes, music (if applicable), and compliance with competition regulations.
- Each person can compete only once per category. The couple must remain the same at each level within a category. Across different categories the couple may vary.
- All participants must be present and check-in at the respective location no later than one hour before the start of the contest. Persons who have registered but are not present at check-in will be excluded from participating in the contest.
- All participants must check-in in person by presenting an ID/passport and will receive a number. The number assigned by the organization shall be worn on the back of the leader during each round. Participants must return their number to the registration desk promptly after elimination or win.
- TangotoCUP Canada is organized by Burak Ozkosem who ensures the smooth running of the competition and compliance with the terms and conditions of participation, as well as the promotion of the event and awarding of prizes. Burak Ozkosem commits to impartiality and has no influence on the evaluation of the jury.
8. Venue Policies
- The Event will take place at various venues in Montreal, Canada. Participants must adhere to the venue’s policies and safety regulations.
- No outside food or drinks are permitted unless explicitly allowed by the venue.
- Any damages caused by a Participant to the venue or its property will be the sole responsibility of the Participant.
9. Force Majeure
- The Organizer shall not be responsible for any cancellation or disruption of the Event due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government regulations, or emergencies.
- In such cases, the Organizer will attempt to reschedule the Event or provide alternative solutions at its discretion.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes arising in connection with the Event shall be resolved in Montreal courts.
